Safe Dissolving Advisory: Pour the salt bags directly along the deep end perimeter of your pool. Turn on your primary filter pump and brush the salt heaps until they are completely dissolved. Maintain circulating currents and keep your salt cell chlorinator turned off for 24 hours while the salt disperses to avoid low/high voltage spikes.

Intex Replacement Titanium Cell & Salt Supplies

Keep your Krystal Clear generator producing chlorine without error codes 91 or 92.

Intex Salinity Thresholds & Error Codes

Intex saltwater generators continuously monitor salinity through titanium sensor plates. If salt drops below 2,500 PPM, the unit triggers error Code 91 (Low Salt) and ceases chlorine production to prevent electrolytic damage.

If salt exceeds 3,500 PPM, error Code 92 (High Salt) flashes and the system shuts down to protect its internal power supply. The only remedy for Code 92 is partially draining pool water and replacing it with fresh tap water.

Frequently Asked Questions: Intex Pool Salt Calculator

Yes, any 99.4% or higher purity pool salt works. Do not use rock salt, iodized table salt, or water softener salt with anti-caking pellets.
Code 91 indicates low salt (under 2,500 PPM) or calcium buildup on the electrolytic titanium plates. Test salinity first before adding more salt.
