Terms Of Service
Last updated: June 21, 2025
Use our calculators freely and responsibly. Don't misuse the site. Results are for guidance — always verify with a professional for critical decisions. We can change or discontinue the service with notice. That's the gist.
1. Acceptance of terms
When you use mypoollab, we may collect basic, anonymized usage data — which pages you visit and which calculators you interact with. This data is aggregated; we cannot trace it back to you individually.
If you submit our contact form, we collect your email address and message so we can reply. If you choose to add your name, we store that too. Nothing else is collected from the form.
2. What we offer
MyPoolLab provides free, browser-based pool chemistry calculators for salt, chlorine, pH, alkalinity, cyanuric acid (CYA), and related measurements. All calculations happen in your browser — no data is sent to or stored on our servers.
The calculators are provided free of charge and without requiring an account. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features in the future, but any existing free functionality will be clearly communicated before any changes are made.
We may add, remove, or modify calculators and features at any time. We'll do our best to communicate significant changes in advance.
3. Acceptable use
We want mypoollab to be useful and accessible for everyone. In exchange, we ask that you use it responsibly.
- Use the calculators for personal, commercial, or professional pool maintenance
- Share links to any calculator page
- Reference mypoollab results in your own notes or work
- Use the site on any device, browser, or location
- Scrape, crawl, or mass-download content from the site
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or interfere with site functionality
- Use the site for any illegal or harmful purpose
- Reproduce or redistribute our content as your own without attribution
- Use automated tools to stress-test or overload our servers
4. Accuracy and liability disclaimer
Our calculators are designed to provide accurate, helpful results based on standard pool chemistry formulas. We take that seriously and maintain them carefully. However, pool chemistry involves real variables — water temperature, existing mineral content, equipment differences, and regional factors can all affect the right treatment for your specific pool.
Calculator results are for guidance only. Always read product labels, verify results with a professional test kit, and consult a certified pool technician for high-stakes decisions — especially when treating large volumes, addressing persistent water issues, or working with unfamiliar chemicals.
MyPoolLab is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss arising from the use of our calculators, including but not limited to chemical imbalance, equipment damage, or personal injury. By using this site, you accept full responsibility for how you apply the results.
We do our best to keep calculations accurate and up to date. If you find an error, please let us know — we take bug reports seriously and fix them quickly.
5. Intellectual property
All content on mypoollab.com — including the calculator logic, written content, design, and UI — is owned by mypoollab and protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.
You're welcome to link to any page on MyPoolLab.com. You may quote short excerpts with clear attribution and a link back to the source. You may not reproduce or republish our calculator logic, content, or design in full without written permission.
Pool chemistry formulas themselves are not proprietary — they're based on publicly known science. What's ours is the implementation, the design, and the copy.
6. Third-party links
MyPoolLab may include links to third-party websites — product pages, reference materials, or resources we find useful. These links are provided for convenience only.
We don't control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, privacy practices, or terms. Following a link off mypoollab.com means you're subject to that site's own rules, not ours.
A link from mypoollab is not an endorsement of a product, brand, or company.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, mypoollab and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of — or inability to use — this site or its calculators.
This includes but is not limited to: incorrect chemical treatments, equipment damage, water quality issues, personal injury, or data loss. You use this site at your own risk.
That said, we genuinely care about getting results right. If a calculator ever gives you a result that seems off, trust your instincts and contact us. We'd rather fix a bug than have someone over-treat their pool.
8. Changes to the service and terms
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes that affect your rights will be communicated more prominently.
We may also modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of mypoollab at any time — with or without notice — though we'll always try to communicate major changes in advance. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
The best way to stay current is to check this page periodically or reach out via the contact page if you have questions about specific terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by applicable law. Because mypoollab is used globally, we aim to comply with widely accepted principles of consumer protection and internet law.
If you have a dispute with us, we'd prefer to resolve it directly and informally first. Reach out — most issues can be resolved with a conversation.
10. Contact
Questions about these terms, a specific clause, or anything else? Reach us directly — no bots, no ticket queue.
"We're not lawyers. These terms are written to be understood, not to protect us from you. If anything is unclear or seems unfair, tell us — we'll fix it."
